Collaborative process pitfalls and rocket shoes
Vicente and me were in charge of the lights design and it was all working pretty well until the last day, in which we got informed that the colored lights were not working and we were left with the only option of presenting with just the light in the stage. We originally planned to use a different color for each scene and that color was the one that was going to represent the emotion being shown.
After this project, I will try and apply the knowledge I gained about lights design and integrate them in other drama projects that may come. Also, I got to learn about the colors and in which kind of scenario each one could be used in order to create an emotion.

During this project, I did not have much trouble working with my group since we set a couple of rules in the beginning like no use of electronics during work period and since we got the work divided up evenly, there was no problem and no one fell behind in the whole process. One thing that I like about this project is that I got to talk and work more with people I don’t know a lot and I found out that they are really easy to socialize and work with.

Butoh Planning

1.     I want to say a story about how a young man gets lost in the jungle and he has to find his way home soon or he will die of desperation.
2.     Silence can be added when the nighttime comes and he finds a place to sleep. Tension can be added when the young man is about to be attacked by a wild animal. Dialogue can be used when the young man tries to talk to a native man but fails. Tableau can be used when the young man is about to get killed by a lion and the scene freezes 3 seconds before his “death”. Conflict can be used at the beginning of the story when the young man is lost and realizes that he has no communication with other people. Changes of pace and focus can be used when the young man seemingly is climbing a little mountain and cross to the other side, then trying to get down but going at a much slower pace.
3.     The structure of this story will be the young man awakens lost and confused in the middle of nowhere. He then tries to find a way out of the jungle and confronts a furious lion. In the end, before he meets his fate a guide saves him with their tourist group.
4.     There will be needed huge space because the movement of the character will have to be done at a fast/slow pace in which we can show how the character is lost and trying to find civilization.
